Real time DVD recorder
with authoring. SDI and component I/O
Ho Ho Ho! Tis the season for St. Nick and Cathy
Lee Gifford to be cracking the whip on their
underpaid minions in order for us to enjoy a truly
capitalistic holiday season.
The latest early Christmas gift to slide down the VR chimney is the Pioneer PRV-LX1 DVD Recorder. It comes equipped with a 120GB internal hard disk drive and one DVD-R/RW recordable drive. You can add an optional second DVD-R/RW drive if desired, which we have. This config gives you the option of transferring from hard drive to disc, or disc to disc. The later is proving to be a real time saver for Brad, who is supplementing his income (secretly he thinks) by selling the first 3 seasons of "Sex And The City", on DVD, to everyone on his block. Video ins are component, composite, DV and S video. Audio ins are XLR and RCA. Video out to monitors are component, composite and S. Audio outs are again XLR and RCA. Gone too are the days of labeling your discs with the remote. This ethernet connectable deck enables you to use a keyboard and mouse for most functions. Yeah, this isn't your father's DVD recorder.
So as the season of giving approaches, you frugal gift givers, (aka squeaky cheap misers) might find this to be the perfect tool for putting plain wrapped, "evaluatory" copies of the latest DVD releases under your inlaws tree.
As usual feel free to ask questions. As usual I'll feel free to ignore them.
